“You have changed my life because now at a meeting, when I’m standing in front of everyone, I have confidence knowing my skin looks great!” M.C. – Hingham
Spider veins form for a number of reasons, from getting older and sun exposure to hormone changes and pregnancy.
If you have unattractive, unsightly veins that have left you self-conscious and unhappy with your appearance, VBeam laser vein treatments can help you look and feel better.
At New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center in Weymouth, Mass., our laser treatments have helped countless patients deal with unattractive veins safely and effectively. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, contact New England Cosmetic today.
What Is VBeam?
The VBeam features a pulsed dye laser. This laser gives off pulsed energy as a dye produces laser beams of different colors. The VBeam is designed to help combat dilated blood vessels and targets hemoglobin, a red protein located in blood cells found within your blood vessels. During VBeam treatment, skin cells are unharmed, but spider veins can be targeted for reduction.
Each patient is different and will respond differently than others. At New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center, our medical teal will consult with you individually to develop a laser treatment plan to address the physical issues you want taken care of.
Our VBeam treatments can totally eliminate spider veins, or decrease them so they are hardly visible to you and others.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments a patient requires is often determined by the size and color of the blood vessel. For most patients, spider veins will vanish completely after one or two treatments. Other patients may require additional treatments to achieve the best results.
Do I need an anesthetic? Are gels used?
No. These are unnecessary because VBeam treatment is virtually pain-free. Patients say they feel heat build up during treatment, but that the treatment is easily tolerable. Some patients can feel a pinching sensation.
Our lasers also can be used to treat patients with various skin types. That includes people with darker skin.
Will my spider veins return after treatment?
Most spider veins won’t return. But exposure to the sun, hormonal changes and the natural aging process could cause new spider veins to develop. If that occurs, you can return for fresh treatments.
To help ensure spider veins don’t return, we advise our patients to use sunblock and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.
Healthy veins are vital to maintaining good overall health. But as we age, many of us will see spider and varicose veins make an unwelcome appearance.
For many patients, spider veins are more of an embarrassment than a serious health problem. But for other patients, spider veins cause pain and discomfort and can lead to skin ulcers and blood clots.
If you have varicose veins or spider veins that are causing you pain, you should consult your family doctor to ensure no serious health problems are behind your pain.
If you are tired of covering up spider and varicose veins and want to look better and improve your self-esteem, VBeam laser treatment may be for you.
At New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center, we specialize in the latest techniques to combat problem veins and leave your skin looking younger and healthier.
Our patients tell us they are ecstatic over their results. You will be too. Don’t let unattractive spider veins keep you from enjoying life to the fullest.
