Botox

You have probably heard of BOTOX, or know someone who has undergone BOTOX treatment. And you’ve seen how it has reinvigorated their look.

There’s no better time than today to begin BOTOX treatment yourself and experience the remarkable anti-aging benefits it can bring.

At New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center in Weymouth, Mass., our team offers BOTOX treatments that can help you look younger, more refreshed and vital.

Contact New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center today to learn how BOTOX can help you improve your look, and to schedule an appointment.

What Is BOTOX?

BOTOX Cosmetic treatment is popular for a reason. It has aided countless patients who want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, frown lines and signs of aging you would rather live without.

BOTOX Cosmetic provides our clients with the ability to look as good on the outside as they feel inside. And BOTOX comes without risks and financial burdens that some plastic surgeries can bring.

BOTOX Cosmetic first hit the health and beauty scene in 2002 when it became the first botulinum toxin approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat frown lines that often develop between your eyebrows.

BOTOX Cosmetic is used by millions across the globe. An estimated 12 million procedures and counting have been done in the United States over the past 13 years.

How Does BOTOX Work?

BOTOX Cosmetic is prescribed by doctors. It is most often injected between your eyebrows. It diminishes severe frown lines found between your brows and is available to people age 18 and older.

It targets muscles between your eyebrows and is designed to block nerve impulses to that muscle group. The result is a decline in muscle movement that can often cause lines to form between the brows. For best results and to maintain your new, younger look, most patients receive BOTOX treatments over periods of several months.

Am I a Candidate For BOTOX?

Cosmetic BOTOX is designed to help patients reduce and diminish frown lines that make them appear older. BOTOX also is a great treatment for patients who want to do away with forehead creases and crow’s feet. If you have very deep lines, you may need more than one BOTOX session.

BOTOX is not designed to treat all skin conditions. For example, it’s not used to treat wrinkles caused by sun damage. BOTOX also can’t help fight loss of skin elasticity, which is part of the natural aging process.

For the most part, BOTOX is used to treat patients between the ages of 18 and 65.

Who Should Not Use BOTOX?

If you are nursing or pregnant, you should not have BOTOX treatments. Also, anyone on antibiotics or those suffering from certain conditions or ailments should not use BOTOX.

At New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center, our team of medical professionals will consult with you individually to determine if BOTOX Cosmetic is right for you.

It’s good to keep in mind that different patients can have different responses to BOTOX. In some patients, BOTOX may not provide results they are looking for and they may require another treatment to achieve their goals.

Again, our team at New England Cosmetic can help you select the best treatment to safely achieve your aesthetic goals.

As with any drug or treatment, BOTOX has potential side effects.

Some side effects are pain at the injection spot, headaches, bruising, swelling or bleeding. These side effects are typical for most injection treatments. The majority of symptoms disappear in just a few hours.

Other potential side effects can include flu-like conditions, drooping around treated areas and respiratory issues. But these side effects almost never occur.  If these effects do occur, contact New England Cosmetic or your family doctor right away.

The majority of our patients at New England Cosmetic don’t suffer from side effects and come back for additional BOTOX treatments.

If you’re ready to look and feel years younger, contact New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center today to learn more about our BOTOX treatments.

A single session can lead to long-lasting improvements to your appearance and start you down the path to a new you!

Other Treatments:

Dysport is an injection used to temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look of your whole face. The untreated facial muscles still work normally, allowing you to freely show facial expressions, such as smiling, in untreated areas.

XEOMIN is a prescription medication used in facial aesthetics to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar frown lines between the eyes (glabellar lines) in adults.
