Laser Wrinkle Treatment

wrinkle treatment

Treatment to reduce acne and wrinkles just got much easier and more effective thanks to the SmoothBeam Laser.

At New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center in Weymouth, Mass., we’re proud to offer our patients this great laser procedure that will improve your look and outlook immediately! SmoothBeam carries no downtime for recovery.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently approved the SmoothBeam to treat acne. It already had FDA approval for wrinkle treatment.

Contact New England Cosmetic today to learn how the SmoothBeam can change your life for the better.

SmoothBeam is a diode laser that is absorbed by the water in your skin’s undersurface. It shrinks oil glands and gets rid of acne cysts and bumps. The SmoothBeam also remodels the collagen underneath your skin to minimize wrinkles.

At New England Cosmetic, we also offer the QuadraLASE.

The QuadraLASE fractional CO2 laser delivers a unique pattern of tiny dots of laser light for skin rejuvenation. Because it’s a fractional laser, only a fraction of the skin is exposed to the laser beam.

The end result is treatment that is more comfortable and requires less downtime than traditional resurfacing.

The QuadraLASE has been proven effective in improving skin tone and texture, smoothing lines and wrinkles, tightening skin, eliminating the damaging effects of the sun and aging on the skin and correcting acne scars.

Treatments options range from mild to aggressive based on your individual needs.

What can be treated with the QuadraLASE?

  • Fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Acne scarring.
  • Surgical and accident scars.
  • Sun damage.
  • Uneven tone and texture.
  • Benign lesions

What areas of the body can be treated?

Most areas of the body can be treated. The face and neck are the more popular treatment areas, but some opt to use it to treat their hands or chest.

What can I expect during QuadraLASE treatment?

The procedure is done in our office by Dr. John B. Lazor.

We will apply a topical anesthetic to the skin for about an hour before the procedure. This will numb the treatment area to create a painless and more comfortable experience. The procedure itself lasts about 30-60 minutes.

What to expect after treatment?

After the treatment, you may experience swollen or red skin. You may also feel a sensation similar to a sunburn, which can last for several hours. The redness and swelling will slowly decrease in the days following treatment, and should be completely gone in 3-14 days.

While your skin is heeling, some peeling on the treatment area may occur – this is normal. This is part of your body’s natural exfoliation process and should only last about 7-10 days.

We will give you detailed aftercare instructions, which recommend cold water compresses and application of an ointment to keep skin moist. Patients who follow aftercare instructions get the best results.

How many QuadraLASE treatments will I need?

Typically, the best results can be achieved with just one treatment. But that can vary from patient to patient.

In the days immediately following treatment, your skin will start to feel and look smoother, tighter, fresher and softer. You will notice immediate improvement in tone, texture, fine lines and wrinkles. You will continue to see improvement in your skin for up to six months. During your consultation, Dr. Lazor will advise you on what results you can reasonably expect.

How long will it take to recover?

Your skin should be completely healed within a few days, and most patients generally feel comfortable enough to return to their normal activities between five to seven days after the treatment. You can also start wearing makeup during this time. You may experience some swelling, but this should subside within several days after the treatment. Redness may take longer to subside.

Are there any risks with the procedure?

QuadraLASE therapy is widely regarded as safe.  Because only a fraction of the skin is impacted, even deep treatments are very safe.

One of the best ways to reduce the possibility of complications is to follow the after-treatment care instructions and follow-up schedule provided by Dr. Lazor and our staff.

Doing so will help reduce the possibility of infection and ensure proper healing.

Are you a candidate for QuadraLASE CO2 Fractional Laser treatment?

Anyone who wants like to have smoother, younger-looking skin is a good candidate for this procedure.

Don’t wait any longer to lose wrinkles and unsightly acne problems. Contact New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center today to start the process of rejuvenating your look!
