Introducing the Vbeam Prima!
Vbeam Prima is the gold standard and the world’s best selling pulsed-dye laser. Time and again it proves itself as the safe, easy-to-use tool for the treatment of vascular, pigmented and certain non-pigmented lesions with a low incidence of side effects.
Each VBeam® Prima pulse is composed of 8 individual micro pulses. Energy within each pulse is distributed across these micro pulses – enabling selection of higher overall energies and effectively target individual telangiectasia with less downtime and purpura.
The Most Advanced Pulsed Dye Laser Technology
Vbeam works using an integrated Dynamic Cooling Device (CDC) which emits a short spray of cryogen some milliseconds before each laser pulse. This minimizes the thermal effect on the top layers of the skin. In effect the Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) minimizes thermal injury and pain without compromising the effectiveness of the laser treatments. DCD’s unique design provides excellent visibility throughout the entire process. DCD is operator technique independent – it will provide the same epidermal protection no matter how fast the laser is fired.

PDL: What is a Pulsed Dye Laser?
Pulsed Dye Lasers deliver an intense but gentle burst of light into selectively targeted areas of the skin. The light is absorbed by specific blood vessels or melanin pigmented areas in the dermis depending on the condition being treated. Factors such as the age, color and type of lesions, as well as the location on the body, all determine whether lesions can be removed.
