Juvederm for Lines and Wrinkles

Juvederm

Certain facial lines cannot be corrected with injectable solutions like BOTOX®. Unlike superficial, dynamic wrinkles, some lines and wrinkles are caused by the gradual loss of facial volume that occurs as the skin’s structure begins to break down. This is an unavoidable part of the aging process, but it’s also one that you can definitely minimize and delay. Juvederm® is an FDA-approved dermal filler that’s hyaluronic acid-based. Once skillfully injected into certain key areas, this gel binds to the nearby skin cells and starts drawing moisture in. This produces a rapid plumping effect that quickly smooths noticeable creases out. This treatment is perfect for areas that have been affected by significant volume loss.

Why are Juvederm® Treatments So Popular?

Much like BOTOX® injections, the Juvederm® procedures only involves skillfully injection and does not require surgery. There’s no downtime and no need for cutting, tissue alterations or tissue removal. Another benefit of using Juvederm® to address the advanced signs of facial aging is the ability to produce temporary results. As such, it’s a great first treatment for people to try. If they like their results, they can simply return to our office for follow-up treatments. Having said that, the results do last for quite a long time, usually at least two or three months. These solutions are ideal for people who’ve tried Juvederm® before and who are eager to experience extended improvements from this same trusted product line.

Understanding Hyaluronic Acid

As a hyaluronic acid-based filler, Juvederm® is largely comprised of an ingredient that your body already produces. Hyaluronic acid naturally exists at the foundation of the skin. It helps support the structural integrity of the dermis and allows for adequate skin elasticity. Give that the human body naturally produces hyaluronic acid, people are far less likely to experience adverse reactions to these injections than they are to injections made with other filler materials.

Discover the Benefits of Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers like Juvederm® offer a number of benefits. The injections are simple, low-risk and sufficiently flexible for accommodating the average person’s constantly changing cosmetic needs. Within minutes, these injections can fill in deep creases and wrinkles across the visage that have proven unresponsive to other non-surgical cosmetic treatments.

We offer a variety of dermal filler treatments at New England Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Center in Weymouth. Contact us today to schedule a consultation to learn more about your treatment options!
